Tariff Surcharges

At TREST Care, we’re dedicated to keeping you informed about the factors that impact the products you trust. Recently, new tariffs have been imposed on certain materials used in diaper production. We want to take a moment to explain how this might affect you.

What is a Tariff?

A tariff is a tax or duty imposed by a government on goods that are imported into or exported out of a country. This fee is paid to the government of the country receiving the goods—not the country sending them. The tariff cost is typically passed on to businesses, increasing their overall expenses.

Large companies often have the resources to absorb tariff costs without significant impact. However, for smaller businesses like TREST Care, absorbing these costs isn’t an option without risking financial stability.

How Tariffs Impact the Price of Diapers

As a result, you may notice a new line item on your orders titled “Tariff Surcharge”. This surcharge represents the additional costs we’ve incurred due to these tariffs.

Please understand that this surcharge is not a means for TREST Care to increase profits. We are committed to keeping prices as stable as possible for our customers. We believe that raising diaper prices to account for temporary cost fluctuations could lead to permanent price hikes, which would not be in the best interest of our customers.

Our Commitment to Transparency

At TREST Care, transparency is one of our core values. We want to make it clear that the tariff surcharge will be removed as soon as these tariffs are lifted. In the meantime, we will continue to review and adjust the surcharge as necessary to ensure the sustainability of our business while navigating these changes.

We also want to emphasize that no one benefits from these adjustments. They are made only out of necessity, and we approach each decision with the utmost consideration for our customers.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
